• The plot of the video is influenced by the 1973 horror movie The Wicker Man
• Some people interpret the video as a commentary on the rise of far right anti-immigration policies and nationalism in the UK
• The entire video was created in only two weeks and no CGI was used in production, instead practical effects are used
• The mayors red outfit symbolises power and violence
